India's first Global Tourism Investors Summit.



• Recently the Union Ministry of Tourism organized a round table discussion with the Heads of Mission in New Delhi as a run-up to the country's first Global Tourism Investors Summit.  Kishan Reddy Addressed the Heads of Mission 

• In this address he said that inspired by the vision of the Prime Minister, the Government of India is developing and promoting tourism in mission mode

He further informed that the current investment scenario of the country makes it a suitable destination for investment in the fields of hospitality and lodging, wellness tourism, adventure tourism, eco-tourism, rural tourism etc.  

• Let you know that as part of India's G20 presidency, the Ministry of Tourism is going to organize the country's first 'Global Tourism Investors Summit' (GTIS): 

 This summit is from 17th to 19th May.  , will be held in New Delhi till 2023

It will be organized in partnership with 'Invest India' and 'Confederation of Indian Industry' (CII) and aims to provide a common platform for interaction between global and domestic businesses in the travel and hospitality sector and explore investment opportunities. 

 • The tourism sector has emerged as one of the fastest growing economic sectors in the world 

• It has a significant impact on trade, employment generation, investment, infrastructure development and social inclusion.
